Its a great way to save lots of steps. It can take on symbol or many and place them all on different layers.

select any number of symbols and hit cntl shift D

----------what to know?

the layers will appear in the order you made them. Oldest on bottom.

Rounded Corners in Illustrator

-----------Why?

Using the rounded corner tool in Illustrator has huge drawbacks.
1. reshaping the box warps the corners
2. making new boxes that are different sizes match is hard.

----------What and How?

Better to use effects>stylize>round corner

If making more than one box, put box into stylize and reuse it on future boxes.

Using Firefox to resize images (mostly for webwork - Flash)

Use Firefox and screencap to resize images.
For use in Flash

-------------Why?

Firefox has a really nice image resizing engine.
Faster than photoshop
Better resolution than when resizing in Flash

-------------How?

Open an image in the folder, drag to the browser - have it set at any size you will reuse.
Use screencap to bring it into Flash
